Powering Options for your CM2400 Insulation Machine

Powering Options for your CM2400 Insulation Machine

The CM2400 comes standard with 2 – 13.7 amp blowers and a 1-1/2 horsepower drive motor. The combination of these motors require some special considerations when powering the CM2400.

The beauty of an electric blower, such as the CM2400 is that it allows you a variety of power options. You can easily find sufficient power in a typical house or you can use an 8 kilowatt generator.

We offer a Double Input 120 volt or a Single Input 240 volt option

Four Options to Hooking Up Your CM2400 to On-site Power

On-site power is not always consistent. Some older homes still have 15amp hookups, while new-built homes have plenty of options. This will create no problem for your CM2400. Below are power options for the minimal sources as well as normal circumstances.

If you choose the flexible, double input, 120 volt option, the machine will require one 30 amp and one 15 amp outlet.

Low Power: TWO 15 amp circuits (Run only ONE Blower)

  • 15 AMP Pigtail (Agitator Motor): Plug in directly
  • 30 AMP Pigtail (Blower Motor): Make a conversion cable with a 30 AMP female receptacle and a 15 AMP male plug
Extension cord - 12 gauge, not to exceed 100 feet.

Moderate Power: ONE 15 amp circuit and ONE 20 amp circuit (Run TWO Blowers at 70%)

  • 15 AMP Pigtail (Agitator Motor): Plug in directly
  • 30 AMP Pigtail (Blower Motor): Make a conversion cable with a 30 AMP female receptacle and a 20 AMP male plug
